  • Welcome to My Movie Journal

Movies have always been a way for me to slow down, reflect, and step into other worlds and other lives. This page is where I keep track of the films that stay with me—the ones that make me think, feel, and sometimes see life a little differently.

A small confession: I rarely fall in love with romance movies. I appreciate a good love story, but my heart is usually captured by documentaries, crime stories, and thoughtful thrillers. I’m drawn to real-life complexity, moral questions, quiet tension, and stories that unfold with depth rather than spectacle. I’m not a fan of heavy gore, but I do love a plot that keeps me thinking long after the credits roll.

My all-time favorites say a lot about me:

    • The Drop – subtle, layered, and quietly powerful
    • Harry Potter – a world of courage, friendship, and belonging
    • The Lord of the Rings (every single one) – epic storytelling about loyalty, sacrifice, and hope
    • It’s a Wonderful Life – a timeless reminder that ordinary lives have extraordinary impact

On this page, you’ll find my personal ratings and reflections—not from a critic’s pedestal, but from someone who watches movies as a way to learn, to feel, and to better understand people and the world. Think of it as a journal rather than a scoreboard.

I hope my notes help you discover something new, revisit an old favorite, or simply enjoy the shared love of a good story.

  • Welcome!

There comes a moment in life when you realize you are no longer just turning pages — you are choosing how the next ones will be written.

For me, living intentionally means paying attention to what I create, what I continue to learn, and what I will one day leave behind. These three things — creativity, learning, and legacy — are deeply connected. Creativity keeps us alive to beauty and possibility. Learning keeps us growing, curious, and humble. Legacy reminds us that our lives ripple outward, shaping the people and stories that come after us.

Creativity isn’t only about art or writing. It’s the courage to imagine a different way of living, to shape a home, a family culture, a career, or a season of life with care and purpose. It’s choosing to make something meaningful with the time we’re given.

Learning is the quiet companion to creativity. It’s listening, reflecting, asking better questions, and allowing ourselves to change. Whether through books, travel, conversations, or lived experience, learning keeps our inner world expanding long after we thought it might settle.

And legacy — that’s the heart behind it all. It’s the stories we tell, the traditions we pass on, the love we invest, and the memories we commit to keeping alive. It’s not about perfection; it’s about presence. It’s about being intentional in how we show up, and in what we choose to remember and record.

This space is my place to explore all three: to create, to keep learning, and to honor the people, moments, and experiences that are shaping the story of my life. It’s a journal, a reflection, and an invitation — to live thoughtfully, to notice the beauty in ordinary days, and to write the next page with purpose.
